Jakarta, 27/1/2010 (Kominfo-Newsroom) - Chairman of the Australian House of Representatives (parliament), Harry Jenkins, visiting Science Education Exhibition themed Strike A Chord "The Science of Music in PP-Science and Technology, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Wednesday (27 / 1).
The exhibition is the result of cooperation and Science Center National Technology Australia, Questacon, the PP-Science and Technology TMII Jakarta. During visits to the exhibition Strike A Chord "The Science of Music was, Jenkins met with 65 students from elementary school (SD) 11 Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, and together around while trying to display visuals.
The disciples were also invited to follow closely the quiz guess Australia in English. In the quiz Kebon Jeruk elementary students who can answer 11 questions correctly to receive gifts and gift directly. The students also watched a serious demonstration of the regulation of science-science and technology.
"Music is a universal language, and the thing that makes me interested, we can work together in the field of education by making use of music. This exhibition can be merefleksian the relations between Indonesia and Australia could be done in various ways. With this exhibition, Indonesian children can see how Australian children learn differently, that is with music, "says Jenkins.
According to him, relations between Indonesia and Australia is very strong. Not only inter-state institutions, but also through instutusi and science.
"Indonesia is Australia's neighboring countries. We will continue to support Indonesia to continue to grow because we have many similarities and chemistry," explained Jenkins.
Meanwhile, Director-Science and Technology TMII PP, Finarya Legoh said, cooperation between the PP-science and technology and Questakon TMII is a positive thing.
According to him, such cooperation can promote Science institution in Indonesia. "This cooperation can be promotional material for Indonesia, the Indonesian Science progress is not lost with Australia. Much has been done, including teacher workshops, exhibitions Science, and hinga water rocket competition at the international level," he said.
Strike A Chord exhibition The Science of Music held for four months, beginning December 31, 2009 hinga March 31, 2010. The exhibition is opened every day from 09:00 until 15:00 pm for all ages. A total of 15 materials exhibit a direct demonstration of the Australian government loaned.
Ten teaching materials are prop Compose a Classic (a classical composition), Drum Dance (drum dance), Ear Relay (ear transmission), Good Vibration (good vibes), Hearing Range (limit of hearing), Music Factory (music factory ), Musical World (world music), Pizzicato Piano (piano Pizzicato), Sound Sculpture (musical props), and Waves in a Spring (waves in the spring).
